Retail operations in a franchise model are not well supported. A franchise model is often setup using multiple Legal Entities. The franchise giver 'delivers' the products and the franchise taker 'sells' them which requires cross LE flows. All franchise shops however, should operate as a 'one brand chain', allowing multi-channel processes. This is not well supported in Dynamics 365 FO/retail. Consider scenario's like * buy from shop X and pick up in shop Y (shop x and y being different LE's) * buy online (e-channel in mother company) and pick up in shop Y * see stock situation in shop Y from shop X * return goods from shop Y to central warehouse (other LE) * ...

This was available back in the day with the Retail Chain Manager (RCM) solution on AX4.0 and AX2009 and we've been missing a good Franchise solution since then.

Hi. Here is how we plan to solve this at a customer:

The franchise model can be solved by using 2 or more production instances; One for the operational processes, and one for the legal processes. In the operational production instance, contains all products, prices, stores, brands, transactions etc. In the legal operational instance there are only general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, bank, tax and fixes assets.

Then create integration between the two instances, where aggregated vouchers are exported out of the operational instance, and imported and posted in the legal production instance.
But some help from Microsoft implementing this would be great 😊
