How could there be a Physical Dimension "Size" if we are not able to handle each size differntly in Volume Calculation for Containers, Locations and Loads.
This causes major problems with our current Customers and makes VARIANTS basically useless when working with Warehouse Management.

It's hard to realize this is still not in the solution! Variants often have different physical dimensions but we can't register this in the master data. Which means that in warehouse processes (shipments, loads) we can't predict the correct volume or weight. The only point on which we can register the actual weight (by someone on the warehouse floor) is on the packing station but that flow is not always used (and is too late when planning shipments)

I would suggest more votes to be gained to change this mindset, it is definately a requirement amongst many industries.

This has been under review for a while now and we continue to have conversations with customers who need to be able to track weights by variant. Could we get an update please? Or is there a workaround? Third party code?

This functionality was part of a code package that Microsoft purchased from Blue Horseshoe a few years back and was included in the rollout schedule. Not sure why it was removed, but as it was an add on ISV that many customers had up until it was sold, many clients upgrading from 2012 R3 used this functionality and are now having issues getting onto D365 as it is not yet available. Is there a timeframe on when this will be back in the release schedule?

This feature was on the roadmap and then removed with no future insert into the product roadmap. This requirement to have height, length, width for a variant item is becoming more important for customers using warehousing or trying to plan transportation or optimize packaging as well as being able to print this on documentation. The business requirement has not gone away.
