Currently in Dynamics 365 Customer Service, the date format is not always aligned with user expectations or local standards. This can lead to confusion, especially in international or multi-country environments where date formats vary significantly (e.g., DD/MM/YYYY vs MM/DD/YYYY).


Proposed Improvement :

It would be highly beneficial to allow administrators or users to configure the date format displayed in the application, either:

  • Based on the user’s locale (country/regional settings), or
  • Through a customizable setting at the environment or user level


Business Impact

  • Improves user experience and readability
  • Reduces risk of misinterpretation of dates
  • Aligns the system with local standards and business practices
  • Enhances adoption in global organizations


Use Case

For example, users in France expect dates in DD/MM/YYYY, whereas US users expect MM/DD/YYYY. Having a flexible configuration would ensure consistency with local expectations.
