When using the category drop down list to enter the first line on a purchase requisition, if the user enters the category manually for subsequent lines, the description cannot be changed (read only). It seems that when the procurement category is filled in manually, the query behind can take long time to complete, hence if the user switches to item name field for example, they are not able to edit the field. In these kinds of situations, users have to wait for the query to complete, or to switch back and forth among fields. This contributes to a bad user experience and ca be perceived as bad product quality. The workaround for the users is to expand the drop-down box and select the desired product cateogry, however this process can take longer than filling in values from the keyboard.
