In the Manager Self service for a global company, with Managers having their direct reports distributed globally, a Manager needs to see the years of service in the direct reports overview, without the need of changing the Legal entity.
Being aware that this implies the usage of the "seniority date" in the employee master.

Some more explanation:Considering a Global Company, with Managers being responsible cross legal entities. If Satya Nadella accesses the Manager Self Service and wants to see how log his direct repots in MSFT Corp, MSFT Germany, MSFT France and MSFT Japan are working for MSFT in total, he would need to change to all Legal entities cannot see in on one page. ☹As in most international organizations People are changing between Legal Entities, and managers need to know how long a employee is working for the group. Even though the “Seniority Date” is maintained in the Employee master (not connected to a Legal Entity) – the Years of Service is not showing in one spot in the MSS, how long the direct repots are part of the Microsoft Group.
