The menu Run intercompany master planning is not supported by Planning optimization.
It would optimize MRP runs when customer has lots of items (80,000) and several companies (7).
The Run intercompany master planning with Number of iterations = 2 is required so that delays from the source company can be seen in the downstream company. Without this option it is difficult to ensure all master plans are sequenced correctly, runs without time loss, and results are consistent across all legal entities.
As Planning optimization is supposed to replace the built-in MRP engine it should at least not deprecate existing features (other bad news with Planning Optimization are: the absence of pegging for safety stock and the fact it doesn't take into account sales forecasts on current day)...

Any progress on this? Part of the roadmap? Indeed a crucial feature as a lot of companies need intercompany planning and just scheduling separate batch jobs in a certain sequence manually as is suggested is not the desired workaround

Given that many companies require intercompany planning, how are they getting around this issue?

Please update code and provide fixes ASAP. Intercompany processes are critical for many customers. This is very disappointing since the improvement on process time is a huge benefit.

I would like to add that even though we can schedule several runs of Planning optimization, the missing part is delay on the vendor company are not sent via Planning optimization to the customer company, while it was the case with old-MRP. So, the customer had information on their possible supplies, now they do not have any. :-(
