Hope everyone is doing great. For one of our customer we are migrating from MS native Field service mobile app (Xamarin) to PowerApp Field service.
In the new app offline sync was configured, when user switch to another and keep the PowerApp running in the background and switch back to PowerApp field service, again offline data starts sync.

Previously when using Xamarin customer didn't face this kind of issue. Mostly technician will be remote are and there will not have internet connection/poor connection, Every time it sync for offline data, it will be difficult for them to continue their daily work.

Kindly consider this and hoping for fixes.

Hello,

Thank you for the feedback. Due to device OS limitations the Field Service Mobile applicaiton will not sync while in the background on iOS. However, on Android the application will continue to sync provided there are enough device resources available to the application.  This is the same behavior that you would observe with the legacy Field Service Mobile - Xamarin application which will be under the same device based limitations.  If Offline sync is paused due to app being moved to the background or closed, it will resume from where it left off once the application resumes.

We have not had this issue and we have been live with the app in iOS and Android since January 2021.

Agree.
It's nonsense that every time we open Field Service app in mobile phone, the data offline sync starts over again even after it's already downloaded before.

It normally takes me 5 hours for each time synching/downloading data when opening the app. After waiting for 5 hours, I accidentally close and re-open it, I have to wait for 5 more hours.

Please help to collect customer's feedback and enhance it asap, many users are encountering the same issue.
