PLease can you add the ability to track email from a Shared Mailbox using CRM for Outlook. Currently if you try to track an email from a Shared Mailbox you get the following error:
"Only items in the default Microsoft Outlook store can be promoted to Microsoft Dynamics CRM.Item Name=subject".

You are able to track emails that have been sent to a mailbox where the user has delegate permission, but you cannot track from a shared mailbox.

It's been 5 years this post was created, and still we can't track items from shared mailboxes

I fully agree, and we are also looking for such a feature. found also further ideas: https://experience.dynamics.com/ideas/idea/?ideaid=a4d5a7ac-2368-e611-80ed-5065f38a2b01

My clients have the same issue as Dave Harris's clients: in a support team, users need to be able to track selected emails from the shared support mailbox to Dynamics 365 (and, in many cases, don't need to track any emails from their own mailbox).

I fully support this feature.  This the biggest problem at many of my customers right now and there doesn't seem to be a credible workaround.

Yes, we can setup a queue and monitor the inbound emails there but the email editor in CRM is terrible and users are used to using Outlook..  Even attaching documents etc to an email is much simpler in Outlook!

Users need to be able to use Outlook and track emails with regarding both inbound and outbound for shared mailboxes.   It's really that simple.

This feature is needed in D365.

I think this feature would be very helpful. At the moment only emails in the primary exchange mailbox can be tracked. If a user has multiple mailboxes (for example one account for every brand/domain of that company), the user is not able to track emails in those mailboxes. Additionally it would be great to track emails in imap mailboxes.

Need this functionality in D365 badly. My client is moving away from another CRM system to D365 and losing this functionality of tracking emails from shared mailbox.

Please add it as soon as possible.

Thanks!
