To be able to have the ability to add a future dated leave plan for employees is key, for specific scenarios where they would be enrolled in a specific leave type that can change over time. For example: leave type annual leave, there can be multiple plans for this type and when an employee is going from a fixed term contract to permanent or even having a promotion, a future dated leave plan would need to be added. Currently with these scenarios, you would have to wait until the date that the previous leave plan is ending, to be able to add the new leave plan on the effective date as you cannot enrol an employee onto a leave plan where the type is currently active.
