Could be used in many different scenarios, as for example:
- fabric cutting
- all kind of animals farming for meat
- CNC cutting, etc.
Rather for Manufacturing Category, if such is planned to be opened.

This sounds like Production Families but maybe with some extra features to make it more viable in some situations. Please review how a family works (which is terribly documented) and maybe rewrite the ask?Since you can output the co-products of the family individually, the tree log example would mostly work... The challenge would be that each item has it's own BOM (presumably with one common component on each) and pro-rating the actual amount of the tree between the items is the tricky part in this. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-ca/dynamics365/business-central/production-how-work-familyhttps://community.dynamics.com/blogs/post/?postid=fecdcec5-05f2-4650-8f65-0098ab458f39

I also have the problem that I have one Production BOM and multiple Output Items Or one item with multiple Variant Codes.Product families do not support variant Codes. Is this in the Road Map that this will work in the future?

Is MS going to make a solution for this problem this century?.

I can't believe it's been already 4 years and still this functionality is missing.

This is a must-have feature to implement the system for almost any industrial manufacturing plant. How many votes does this need to be worked on?
Category: Manufacturing
How many votes do you need to add this feature to BC?. I do not understand why BC has no improvements on manufacturing area since 1999.

Also necessary for the recycling businesses

Hi,We have a customer that need it. They use 1 animal to get lots of outputs, like fat, skin, wood, meat, etc....Urgent please.Thanks.Juan Megías.

Hi, I worked on others ERP which are using negativ quantity on components in the BOM.I try it, in a very simple way in CRONUS and i think it could be a way to do this.Your output could be your main product and your co-products won't be outputs but components withh negativ quantities. When you valid the production sheet, the components with the negativ quantity go to stock. You can check it in the accounting entries.Hope this could help you ti find a solutionRegardsNathalie

This is a huge issue for us, we have CNC cutting and manufacturing, where we have one sheet that makes multiple parts
We also then send the parts to subcontract on pallets before finishing them but BC is very poor at sub process management

Thank you for your feedback.
Have you analysed the Production Families feature: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/production-how-work-family, could you specify the missing functionality?
Sincerely,
