Product families does not cover it mostly because of the cost calculations for different outputs. You need also to specify somewhere the coefficents for quantities and cost rates as there may be situation where the quantity output of one of the produced part is large but the cost of the item is actually very small.There was a product named naviMeat, I worked with in Customer site, what had this feature (no associations with the company - I do not know do they even exist any more)

Hello,To complet the need, this function is required for us as we work in plastics recycling:We recive one mixe and we separate it in different type of plastics or other wast.I tryed the "family" possibility, but there is no link with an input article!And more problematics for us: the lot tracability work only for one separated article (output).This is about 80% of our production orders !Improvement should be planned to simplify the production management.Sincerely

This sounds like Production Families but maybe with some extra features to make it more viable in some situations. Please review how a family works (which is terribly documented) and maybe rewrite the ask?Since you can output the co-products of the family individually, the tree log example would mostly work... I also have the problem that I have one Production BOM and multiple Output Items Or one item with multiple Variant Codes.Product families do not support variant Codes. Is this in the Road Map that this will work in the future?
