Needs: we need in the same Customer Journey to add "if conditions" based on entity fields and add actions to update data inside entities.

Currently we can do the following :

1) Real time: we have "If conditions" based on data from entities, BUT CANNOT update field entities with workflow or flow as an action.
2) Classic Customer Journey: We CANNOT add if conditions based on contact entity, BUT WE CAN add a workflow to update data.

It was a requirement from a big customer who asked us for that, and I think its very important to have these 2 features in the same customer journey.

As the name suggests, it would be great if there was an action to update a contact or lead field within a journey. Currently the only option I'm aware of is to create a workflow/flow.


The addition of this feature would significantly speed up delivery of marketing campaigns.


An example of how we would use this functionality...

  1. Contact enters journey from segment based on LinkedIn Lead Gen Form
  2. Update Source Campaign Field
  3. Determine region (if/then)
  4. Update Owner field
  5. assign sales activities such as phone calls
