It would be useful to have a tool to compare User Security Configuration changes between environments that are running different platform versions. For Example comparing Production to a Sandbox environment.
We found an instance after our recent Production Update to Service Update - Version 10.0.13, that we had to add back the privilege View expense reports to the Expense Transaction viewer role as the update removed the duty Maintain expense management process from the Purchase ledger clerk role.
This was found as one of our users could not view the 'All Expense Reports' page after the update.
I have raised a support ticket but was reminded that "added or removed security roles are not stated in the articles and this is causing confusion/issues for some of our users. The way I can suggest to avoid such behavior, is to test the most used workspaces/modules and see if you have any problems.".
We cover most things in our testing but I am sure there are other companies that do not have the resources to test every conceivable task that is performed in BAU.
