Within a case, there is the Notes/Activities/Post grid. This displays email activities in Modified date order. We have noticed that if you open an existing email, for example which was created and last modified several days in the past, and action a reply or forward, then the modified date of the original email gets updated to todays date. This means that when views activities in the grid, they are no longer in chronological order.
Please advise what is being updated on the original email when the reply or forward is made and why and more importantly how we can stop this as it is affecting the accurate visibility of client interactions.

We are considering adding the ability to change the default sort order on the activity wall. This will allow you to use either created on or actual end date field (which has sent/recieved date value) to sort the activities.

We have also been frustrated about sorting possibilities in Timeline and has solved this by setting the SORT DATE according to different set of rules,. For us it was the only wat to get different activities and Notes in chronological order.

It�s a kind of showstopper for our migration from CRM 2011 to CRM 2015. Imagine you merge service incidents, the activities show up randomly in the Social Pane. The same when you assign a contact or account to another user. Then also die modified-On-Fields become updated. That�s really frustrating that the Social pane cannot be configured or customized.

The email activity has an "actual end" field, which by default only shows the date for some reason. You can change this field to show full date and time, which gives you the exact time the email was sent/received. Why is this not being used for sorting?! None of our users trust the social pane for email activity, as the times and dates shown are so misleading.

Please give the customer the option how activities should be sorted! - i.e. by CreatedOn, ModifiedOn, DueDate,...
