When you set up any workflow for approval of G/L account type Lines you need to send the lines for approval. It doesn't matter if you are in a General Journal, Item Journal, Sales Journal, Fixed Asset Journal, etc... If you want to use the Workflow Function for approvals for this (which is a great feature) it halts your ability to use any of these other journals. All you need to do is add the Send for Approval as well as the Approval/Reject functions to every "journal" type and then the workflows would work brilliantly. The one product offering "workflows" current render all of the other journals unusable without paying for an extension. As a customer spending a LOT of money per year for this product I do not think its reasonable to ask us to pay our partners even more money to be able to use the base product the way it is designed to work. Its actually shameful that we have to beg microsoft for this feature.
