In D365FO EE it is not possible to add financial dimension values to procurement categories. This lack of link forces the user to manually fill out these financial dimensions before posting the financial impact which is not user friendly.
Comments
This has been raised as a requirement on every project where procurement categories have been presented

Hello,We really need that to avoid customization!

Hello,We are, often, challenged with this issue by our customer, it would be great to have it in the standard D365.Thank you.

Hello, important to have it as categories behave like products in transaction lines (PO, etc.). This will avoid big customizations on our customer projects.

This is a cleat gap in functionality where procurement categories have been implemented but their full impact and usage not captured. Default dimensions are a huge part of operational effectiveness and to have them missing feels more like a bug than an idea for future development.

Have multiple customers asking for this exact option ...

This request would make multiple customers happy. As not only the financials must be correct, also approvals are often based on financial dimensions. Please consider this idea as a must have.
