Situation :

Planning Optimization replaces the usual Master Resource Planning.

Within this Planning Optimization, CTP capability has been added, it becomes GA in 10.0.32.

But : this CTP is not yet able to run on the fly, when user saves the sales line. It's necessary to re-run the master plan. We are then loosing reactivity.

Idea : The request is then : retrieve instant capabilities of the existing CTP with the old MRP :

1. Be able to request manually a delivery date control, on each sales line. Get an immediate information.
2. Have a setting to activate by default this delivery date control, when user saves the line. If a risk of late delay is detected, inform the user with the form : "Requested delivery date can not be promised..." And visibility on alternative possible delivery dates (as the existing form).

Dark mode is now available on nearly all Microsoft products : Office, Edge, Windows.

I will be relevant for Dynamics too.

Currently, user can change color theme, but dark mode is not yet available.

With Maintenance checklist templates, we can provide text instructions to workers using the mobile app, and get their feedback.

The instruction provided in only in text format.

I suggest to have ability to mention one or several attachments for each line of the maintenance checklist templates : photos and pdf being the most probable format. Those attachment being then displayed on the mobile app.

Ideally, attachements should be displayed in a gallery. Worker being able to click on then attachment they need to see, to get it displayed in full screen.

This idea is dedicated to ISV solutions, and try to repair a lake of extension of planning optimization, related with custom dimensions. We loss functionalities, compared to legacy planning.

Context : use of a custom tracking dimension (added by ISV). In the tracking dimension group, check the standard "Coverage plan by dimension" for this dimension.

Actual behavior :

Planning optimization generates new planned production order, with a custom dimension value driven by "Coverage plan by dimension". Fine.

Based on active Item BOM version, derived requirements are calculated. In those derived requirements, the custom dimension is an empty value. In the legacy planning, extension is possible, and we can initiate the value as required by business logic.

Our request : In the tracking dimension group, for custom dimensions only, add a checkbox "Planning Inheritance".

Behavior : When calculating new derived requirements, the custom dimension value is to be inherited from header to lines.

Technically speaking, inheritance flows : ReqPo => ReqTrans.

Remark : such a checkbox is relevant with custom tracking dimensions only, and irrelevant with standard tracking dimensions like serial or batches. It could remain hidden in the standard form, and be displayed only through ISV extension.

Objective : simulate changes on resources capacities, and get results through MRP calculation => capacity reservations, planned dates, calculated delays...

Proposed feature : on top of existing resources/calendars relationships (including resources groups calendar deviation), provide new tables/forms to specify master plan dedicated values.

Datamodel : it would be possible to specify calendar value for each record based on key : Resource x Date x Masterplan.

Example : on master plan MP1, apply 7h/day calendar. For the same resource, on master plan MP2, apply a different calendar like 14h/day. (for same resource and same date).
