  • Change invoice address on the sales order

Would be useful if you can change the invoice address on the sales order like the delivery address. Right now a customer has a primary invoice address and when want to you change it for a sales order, you need to change the primary invoice address on the customer and that is a bit complicated. You can manage it via separate invoice accounts, but then you need per invoice address an invoice account and in case of a big customer with multiple invoice addresses you get many accounts for one customer.

  • Change quantity on a license plate from transfer order during receipt/inbound process

When you send transfer order from warehouse X to warehouse Y, you can do the receipt in the warehousing app via the license plate receiving & put away function. This is fast and and efficient way to do the receipt process. However, you do not have the possibility to change the quantity in case of an under delivery. It would be good when you get an option/function in the warehousing app which gives the user the possibility to change the quantity in case of an under delivery. In the background the received quantity should be updated automatically on the transfer order line.
  • Release production operation to warehouse after report as finished of other operation

It is possible to release operations of a production order per operation to a warehouse instead of the whole production order. It is also possible to do the release of the operations via a batch job (Automatic release of BOM and formula lines). However, it would be good to have an additional option that an operation will be released to the warehouse based on the “report as finished” from other operation. For instance: • Production order PO10000 o Oper. 100 o Oper. 200 When operation.100 being report as finished, operation 200 should be automatically released to the warehouse in the background. With this function you can deliver the items more just in time on the production floor. This option is more flexible, because you’re not depending of a configured time frame in the query of the batch.
  • Create transfer order from sales order

From the sales order line you can create a transfer order. This function is good, but would be better if there is also a function for the user to create a transfer order for the entire sales order.
  • Crossdocking for multiple ship locations within one warehouse

It is right now not possible with the cross docking functionality to make a distinction in the ship locations within one warehouse. For instance, the following scenario: 1. A sales order with item 123 (Warehouse AB) 2. A transfer order with item 123 (from warehouse AB to warehouse CD) Item 123 is not available in warehouse AB. Therefore, we've two purchase orders: 1. A purchase order for the sales order 2. A purchase order for the transfer • The put location for the sales order should be the pack location • The put location for the transfer order should be the ship location Right now, it is not possible to configure more than 1 ship location. Would be usefully that Dynamics supports multiple ship locations. The reason is that a transfer order might go to a warehouse within the same site, for instance a production warehouse or a service van warehouse. The sales orders goes to the pack location, because it must be packed in a new box (consolidate with other shipment) before dispatching to the customer.
  • Packing slip from shipment

The create packing slip function from the shipment is handy functionality. However, it is right now not possible to change the parameter “quantity”. The default setting for the quantity parameter is “deliver now”. It would be useful if you can change the value to “picked quantity and not stocked products”. The setting “picked quantity and not stocked products” is useful in case when the sales order contains service items (for instance a service item for transport costs).
  • Cancel packing slip from sales order with warehouse management controlled items

When you post the packing slip from the sales order, it is not possibly to cancel the packing slip anymore when the order contains warehouse management controlled items. The only way to cancel a packing slip for warehouse management controlled items is via the load. But when the packing slip has been posted from the order, the cancel packing slip function on the load is not available anymore. There are cases when it makes sense to post the packing slip from the sales order, for instance when the order contains service items. Would be good if we get a function to cancel the packing slip from a sales order which contains warehouse management controlled items.
  • Load planning workbench for the start of the receipt process

The load planning workbench is a great feature in Dynamics 365. It shows you all the incoming purchase orders and also the purchase orders which have not been fully received. We’ve customized the load planning workbench in order to make it suitable for our inbound process. I think these customizations might be usefully for standard Dynamics. These customizations are: • Automatic creation of a license plate when you create a new pallet (packing structure) • Automatic creation of work when you create a new pallet (packing structure) • Automatic creation of work per item (additional option in the packing structure) The most important benefit of these customizations are that you need the warehouse app only for the put away process, because you start the registration process from the load planning workbench. The disadvantage of the registration process via the warehouse app is that you have to do it per item and purchase order. For example when you’ve a purchase order with 50 lines, you have to do the registration per line and enter manually for each line the purchase order id.
  • Create cross docking link when you release an order to the warehouse via 'Release to warehouse' form

When you release a sales or transfer order to the warehouse, Dynamics links automatically the order to a purchase order when there isn't on-hand inventory (if cross docking has been configured). It would be useful if this function also works if you release an order via the 'Release to warehouse' form.
