Notification of batch jobs cancelled at deployments
Hello team,
Sharing the following idea:
When deploying a package, the system kills any running Batch job without further notice. It is not visible from the UI, that the jobs have been cancelled by the deployment. They just cease to work. No infolog is stored whatsoever.
The job goes into state "Error" without any further information, clicking on "Log" does not yield any response at all.
Also, there was no "End Time" visible in the tasks in error state. Only the Batch Job header shows an end time.
Expected behavior while deploying would be that the system
a) correctly fills the end time of the corresponding batch jobs
b) somehow gives the user the information, that the batch execution has been forcibly terminated by a deployment.
When a Batch Server gets stopped, The Batch Framework should gracefully terminate these batches, and it should log all the running jobs when this deployment is happening.
Apart from that It should be somehow possible to get some kind of CancellationToken in our batch jobs, that would allow us to do a graceful termination on a relatively short notice in most cases
Kind regards

Dynamics 365 not respecting Exchange on behalf of configuration
The “send on behalf of” configuration from Exchange is not respected by Dynamics. No application should be able to bypass the rules set on the Exchange server. So for example if a user doesn’t have explicit permissions to allow it, Dynamics ignores that fact and allows users to add the account in the D365 configuration “on behalf of” field.
Anybody that have Dynamcis FO, in a tenant can cross domains send mails on behalf of anybody/any domain in the tenant.
Adding security in dynamics shouldn't be the solution, as the root of this behaviour is that Exchange must be respected.
ALL of the users (for example the admins) from different environments can send mails with no limitations. No setup is needed, only activate exchange as a option, no validation, no login or approval needed.
As per best practice from Microsoft SysAdmin is needed in D365 FO DevBoxes, and often the solution for Debugging. So a lot of accounts can send those emails.
This is a security issue, as any person can add an important account of the company as sender email and try to impersonate him. The emails even reach the real mailbox for that sender. It can lead to financial loss/scams.

Group by week in open sales order lines
Hello team,
As mentioned in the following article, when you group on Date or DateTime fields, you have the option to group by year, month, or day: Grid capabilities - Finance & Operations | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Learn
It would be a good idea if we could also group by "week". In this case we would like to have it to sort in a better way the open sales order lines.
Thank you very much in advance.

Tiles added appear for one company still appear displayed after switching company
The tiles that were added for one company (example if we create a tile in the main dashboard) still appear displayed / pinned to the dashboard when the company has been switched.
Also appearing in standard workspaces despite being created for the own workspace.
It would be interesting to have an option for the tiles to be linked only to a company / for the workspace to not show those tiles when the company has been switched.
Thank you very much in advance

Moving CHE to another subscription in Azure
Hello,
Actually is not supported to move a CHE to another subscription inside Azure inside the same geo location and also inside the same tenant.
It could be a good idea if we could implement this change, in order to make the migration process easy and available also for Cloud-Hosted environments.
Thank you very much.

Currency symbol / Currency row in PL VAT reports
Hello team,
It would be a good idea to try to add the currency (either as a symbol or as a full row) in the following reports (Poland) for a better tracking of the operation. This is important to make sure that all of the legal requirements are met:
1) EU summary VAT register
2)Purchase VAT register
3)Sales VAT register.
Thank you very much in advance.
Kind regards

Porcentual copy of the charges for Credit notes
Hello team,
We have the following idea:
At this point in time, the Purchase Credit note process is copying all charges even for a partial quantity.
Example: Purchase invoice is posted for 100 qty with Misc charges
We are creating a Credit note for 5 qty only. The copy charges is taking whole of Misc charges (instead of 5qty's misc charges).
While posting Credit note, a huge cost is hit due to this.
The change can be done in a manual way, but we would like to see implemented this option as automatic calculations in the environment, so the percentual change shows up without having to change it directly by hand.

Change status for an asset in batch
Hello team,
My customer would like to do changes in the status directly in Finance and Operations in an automated way/in batch.
At this moment it was confirmed that it's mandatory to do the changes by hand (ex: change the status of this asset from closed to open). Since they have multiple assets, they would like to do it in masse.
It would be interesting to have a way to perform this operation, to select multiple entries at the same time and force the change to this status.
Thank you very much in advance.

Vendor payment advice print management toggle resets to NO every time
Hello team,
I would like to suggest an idea in regard to vendor payment advice.
Tested in a 10.0.38 in a standard environment (tested this behaviour in different environments)
When printing our vendor payment advice document, the toggle "use print management" always defaults back to "no".
When user toggles it to "yes" it should remain on "yes" for all the following print instances.
Steps:
1- import the latest vendor payment advice (Excel) in the configuration from the global repository
2- go to accounts payable -> setup -> forms -> form setup
in there, choose "print management" (it appears in blue).
3- create the setup.
for this, under payment advice create a new one that will appear as Original
4- to the right configure the setup. Destination name Print on screen (you need to add it by clicking to the arrow in the right)
For this,
Name : print on screen
File component name: Vendor payment advice
Settings:Screen
botch checkboxes ticked V
Document type:Print management
Print management action:View,Print
5- In the setup where we were configuring the printing (outside of this menu) after adding the destination print on screen that we just added, add the report format : vendor payment advice (Excel)
Configuration finished.
6 - Now please go to accounts payable > payments >vendor payment journal
Choose print - payment advice (you can test this with standard vendor payments in a demo data)
7- a menu will appear to print this payment advice.
The use print management will appear as NO
8- change it to yes. then print
9- after you finish the first one, please choose another line. You will see that this toggle is back in NO.
This is the main change that it would be nice to see implemented , for that window to save the configuration
(This happens if you choose the same vendor, same line or different lines).
Other documents/print setup remember the last chosen toggle setting so we would like to see it implemented also for this one.
Thank you very much.
Kind regards

Reimbursement report for paid travel kilometers
Hello team,
We have an idea based in our old customized reports:
We would like to see implemented a report that contains paid travel kilometers, for its reimbursement. Currently, the expense manager does not show the option/does not include this field as a possibility, and the report doesn't really specify the status (for example: already paid, pending payments...etc), so it's hard to determine if there are any pending actions to do.
We believe that including this field will make everything easier to track.
Thank you very much
Kind regards
