Enable downloading of offline updates to continue even when iPad/iPhone is in sleep mode
Our maintenance workers are operating in locations where mobile connection is not available. As such they must download all the required data to their device at the start of the day so that they can work in offline mode later. Due to the amount of data, the initial downloading takes about 75 minutes and subsequent daily refresh can be up to 20 minutes. The Microsoft Dynamics 365 app on iPad will stop data download if the device is in sleep mode. Unfortunately all our company managed devices are pre-configured to lock up the screen after 2 minutes of inactivity. The only option our workers have at the moment is to keep their device awake by tapping it every now and then until the download is complete. Capability of your mobile app to download offline data in sleep mode in mobile devices will be highly beneficial to your customers.
