  • Take changes to Product pricing into account when Refresh Invoice Line Transactions button used

If additional time/expenses are submitted after an Invoice has been created, it's possible to press the "Refresh Invoice Lines Transactions" button and it update the Project-based lines. The same doesn't happen with Product-based lines.

When an Invoice has been created that contains products as well as project lines it should take any changes made to the pricing of Project Contract Products when the "Refresh Invoice Lines Transactions" button is pressed. Currently the only way to recalculate Product-based lines is to delete the entire Invoice and recreate it.

  • Allow us to decide when to invoice for a Product related to a Project Contract

Currently if you add Products to a Project Contract, these are picked up on the first Invoice which is created. There is no way to prevent this and no way to delete them off the Invoice so they will be picked up on a subsequent Invoice.

We need the ability to defer invoicing for a product until we are ready.

  • Indicate Products as Non-chargeable or Complimentary in Project Contracts

It would also be very nice if we could mark a Product as Non-chargeable or Complimentary just like we can with time/expenses.

Sometimes companies take the hit on licenses and increase the cost of services to make up the difference. They might still want to indicate the original cost of these licenses to customers but make sure they know they're receiving a complimentary item.

  • Allow us to force a segment refresh

Currently there is some mystical timeframe which segments refresh the members. Maybe once an hour. For someone who is trying to create a segment and test it to see what members it returns this is impossibly slow. If you make a first stab at the list, you can't expect people to go away for an hour just to make a change. There should be a way for us to kick Azure into refreshing the segment or just have it refresh every time someone goes to the members tab as they obviously want to see the most recent list. If you must keep it on your own timeframe, at least give us a countdown to the next refresh time so we can plan our work. So far I'm just aimlessly wandering back every now and again in the hope they've refreshed. This is not helped by the fact that segments are so hard to build especially if relationships are involved. If you don't get it 100% correct in the first try, you're better just deleting it and starting again as far as I can see.

  • Allow us to modify the views of members in a segment

Currently the list is very unhelpful, it shows full name, email1, phone, Account name, and crmrecordid (quite possible the most useless field ever displayed anywhere as we can't use it for anything at all in the real world). The list is not even sorted alphabetically. Clicking on most of the columns does nothing EXCEPT this last one which allows us to sort on it but why would we ever want to. We need to be able to display whatever view of members we want from a normal configuable view with the normal sorting features of the rest of D365 or this list is basically useless.

  • Allow baselining and snapshotting of projects

Almost any project manager would like to see how their project looked at the beginning compared to how it actually ended up. Please allow us to take a snapshot of the project and give tools to compare with the current or other snapshots. This would allow for baselining which would help with forecasting, revenue calculations and overspend.
  • Change Requests added to existing Project Contracts rather than creating new ones

It should be possible to go through the sales cycle (Opp->Quote->Project Contract) with a change request, then at Quote Won, associate it with an existing Project Contract rather than needing to create a new Project Contract. Project Contracts can have many lines so why can't we just add whatever is on the quote to those already there?
  • Group Projects together into Portfolios

There should be a way to group projects together, similar to PftW with it's Roadmap feature. This could be for reporting or dependency purposes.
