Configurable business documents - Merge document with application attachments
For now the MergePDF feature in the ER format can only be used to merge PDF's present as attachment of the running ER format.
It would be nice to extend that list to application attachments in pdf format originating from the source data.
Additionally even using the URL of the attachments to retrieve the pdf document from external location (sharepoint, ...) as well.
Many Thanks!

Automatic (monthly) update of purchased packages in electronic invoicing
Hi,
When using the electronic invoicing feature on RCS (Regulatory Configuration Services) only a certain amount of transactions are included. To extend this amount of transactions, a subscription needs to be purchased.
Despite the fact Microsoft delivers this subscription to the customer, the counters are not automatically updated.
The subscription has to be entered manually in a separate form on the usage management form.
Since this is a continuing monthly subscription, it is needed to make an entry for every month separately in this form to have it reflect well in the counters on the usage management form.
This idea consists of 2 parts
- Microsoft updates the counters automatically when subscription is purchased
- If 1 is not an option --> Only 1 entry is necessary in the purchased subscriptions/packages form to have the counters updated on the usage management form (and not an entry for every month)
Many thanks!

Indian localization audit trail and edit logs
Hi,
To comply with Indian Legislation, an audit trail and edit/change log is necessary for all transactions and transaction related information.
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/finance/localizations/india/apac-ind-audit-trail-edit-logs-accounting-software
In a company with over 250 legal entities, 2 of which are Indian legal entities, we need to provide that data for the 2 Indian legal entities to be compliant with Indian Legislation.
Using the available database logging feature, which is not legal entity specific, will put a huge load on the system and have a major impact on performance. Especially when it is only needed for 2 legal entities and not for the entire 250 legal entities for which we would need to enable that. This also doesn't fit with the Indian legislation request that the logging cannot be disabled.
This makes it currently impossible to comply to Indian legislation using Microsoft D365.
The idea is to create a new framework with Indian localization which will only be enabled in the Indian legal entities and will automatically provide Indian auditors with the data they need for their audit.
This way impact can be limited to the data necessary for the audit by the Indian legislation.

India Localization daily backup of Indian company data on servers physically located in India
Hi,
To comply with Indian legislation, it is mandatory to have a daily backup of the Indian company data on a server which is physically located in India.
Since this is part of Indian legislation and Indian company audit, the idea is that Microsoft provides such a functionality.
As a finance ERP it would be nice and preferred, they provide all parts of financial audits (or can comply with Indian legislation). That way the Indian company data can remain inside MS (architectural) boundaries.
This can be helpful for many customers since the MS process would be audited and not the company individual processes to comply to the Indian legislation.
Many thanks!

This should also be possible for companies with 250 legal entities, where only 1 legal entity is India based. So only the data of the Indian legal entities can/should be saved on the server which is physically located in India.
Many thanks!
