Ability to add new work requests to existing work orders as new work order lines
When a new work request is created it may align with an existing work order, so the ability to just convert that work request into an additional line of an already open work order can be beneficial.

Ability to link multiple work requests to a single work order line
Several users may write work requests to fix an issue without knowing that it was previously reported. The ability for the planner to point those new requests to the a single work order line would allow the users to see that the request they have put it is not just being cancelled or rejected, but linked to a work order so that they can follow completion. Typically now, any subsequent request would be cancelled or rejected and a note or other communication written back to the submitter to let them know outside of the system that the WO was created elsewhere. Additionally, the ability to link a new work request to an already created work order line would help drive the correct behavior of reporting issues when found, instead of wondering if someone else has reported it already.
