Empowering Humanity Through Accessible Offline Survival Knowledge (EHTAOSK)
Suggested by Premchand Hembram – New – 0 Comments
Introduction:
Disasters, both natural and man-made, often strike without warning, leaving individuals cut off from resources and technological infrastructure. In such moments, survival hinges on quick access to critical knowledge. My idea is to create a lightweight, offline-ready resource that equips individuals with essential survival, hunting, and basic medicinal skills. This tool would act as a lifeline in emergencies, fostering self-reliance and adaptability.
The Idea:
- Compact Offline Knowledge Bank: The app will store vital information for survival—covering topics such as water purification, shelter building, fire-making, navigation without GPS, and first aid.
- Lightweight Design: Using only or >500 MB of storage, it can reside on any device without requiring an internet connection, ensuring accessibility in remote areas or disaster scenarios.
- User-Friendly Interface: Intuitive guides, visual illustrations, and step-by-step instructions make the content accessible to individuals of varying knowledge levels.
Impact and Relevance:
- Global Reach: The app is useful for outdoor enthusiasts, trekkers, and individuals in disaster-prone regions worldwide.
- Life-Saving Potential: It empowers individuals to survive critical situations with practical knowledge.
- Bridging Traditional and Modern: The app preserves ancient survival skills while leveraging modern technology for distribution.
Implementation Strategy:
1. Collaboration: Partner with survival experts, field medics, and app developers to curate and deliver high-quality content.
2. Localization: Ensure multilingual support so it can benefit users in diverse regions and languages.
3. Sustainability: Focus on simple updates and enhancements to evolve the app without increasing data size.
Call to Action:
I envision this project as a collaboration with Microsoft, where their technological expertise and global reach could bring this concept to life. I propose initiating discussions or insight about developing a prototype or pilot program to explore its viability and scalability.

I would like to see improvements made to the inconvenience of using the mobile version of Remote Assist.
Suggested by Akane Noguchi – New – 0 Comments
I hope that the RemoteAssist app will be improved so that it can flexibly accommodate users' usage patterns.
When users use RemoteAssist, they may want to invite users from external tenants as guest users to receive Assistance.
However, the use of RemoteAssist assumes that the user is within the tenant.
Also, compared to Android, there are inconveniences with iOS devices on which the app is installed, such as the inability to use Teams at the same time.
As this specification narrows the range of ways users can use it, I hope that it will be improved.
