As a new customer to D365 F&O, I was surprised to find that when creating a new journal batch which has a field to mark for reversing entry and another field for reversing date that those fields do nothing. Because I had marked those two fields (on purpose), I was expecting the system to reverse the 2 vouchers that I entered under that batch. Microsoft should fix and have those fields greyed out/not allow those fields to be manually filled in when those fields do nothing when posting the batch. The concept is illogical and serves no purpose when no action is performed by the system if putting information into those fields. Just leads to confusion by having those fields as editable. Please fix.
