In India, anti-dumping duty is a safeguard measure imposed on imported goods that are sold at a price lower than their "normal value" in the exporting country. This duty is levied to counteract unfair trade practices and protect local manufacturers from injury caused by dumped imports.
The anti-dumping duty so charged needs to be loaded on the imported item cost. Furthermore, in cases where imported goods are liable to anti-dumping duty, such duty needs to be considered for calculation of IGST on Imports.
Presently, there is no functionality available in India localization to apply and record anti-dumping duty on Import transactions. However, this functionality should be made available as this is a legal requirement in India as per the Customs Tariff Act.
