While completing the collection case through workflow, below error is thrown. "Unable to cast object of type 'Dynamics.AX.Application.CustCollectionsCaseDetail' to type 'Dynamics.AX.Application.CaseDetail'. Expected Results: User should be able to complete the collection case successfully.

    I have to say I have a couple of customers who have hit this problem and its pretty rubbish that Microsoft have left it in a state where the user effectively gets a code error in response to a reasonable expectation of using the product as advertised.


    Microsoft support just send the customer and partner here to suggest an idea to complete the functionality !


    Come on guys, you can do better than this. First off product team should display a more elegant message, secondly can you finish the functionality off properly !

    I can second Andrew's comments having just delivered a number of customisations on a recent go-live to plug very visible gaps in Case management.
