For the D365 Field Service and Schedule Board - could a capability be added that you can drag and schedule a resource by days? Today the solution will allow scheduling by hours, but we have a need for scheduling by days.

  • We are having this same issue as well. Would be nice to schedule by day, with a default hour of 8 or whatever is called out in the Resource requirements. Drag and drop Resource Requirements via Day view. Scheduling multiple days as whole needs to be improved a lot. Field service is really focused around hourly, not daily.
  • We also have the requirement to book in days.
  • Agreed. Having such fundamentally different behaviour just by changing a view is not being well received. Clients see anything other than the Hour View as "broken"
  • We have the same requirement. Our industry typically requires multi day engagements. On average, a typical field service job is 10+ days. Many of our jobs require multiple resources rotating in and out throughout the duration of the job. This can become a huge exercise when managing thousands of resources on hundreds of active jobs, especially when the customer consistently request changes to planned start dates that can have a ripple effects on the entire schedule board. Managing these changes in the hourly view is not practical.
  • It is (now) possible to use drag and drop in the Daily View.
