We are facaing varous customoers who favour the "Bring Your Own Storage" (BYOS) option to set up CID as it aligns with ther overall data stratgie, infrastrucature considerations and data governance. However currently the feature for automatic linking is not supported.
As a consequence he following functionalities are unavailable:
Using Customer Insights Data (CID) Segments in Customer Insights Journeys (CIJ)
Using CID Measures in CIJ for personalisation in emails or in segments
Displaying CID Data on Dynamics 365 entities such as Contacts, Accounts, Leads, etc.
Since these features are among, if not the most essential, for leveraging CID in combination with CIJ, the need for tighter integration is clear.
Hence, the idea would be to make the automatic linking functionalities possible with a BYOS setup.
