currently AX allows raw material work for expired batches
Currently AX 2012 R3 and 365 for operations allows the creation of raw materials picking work for expired batches. Also executing the work is not blocked.
For Sales picking work there is a check on expired batches. See comment from MS: The check for expired batches and sellable days...
