Enable specific chinese font type for cloud environment to print chinese characters. Currently this is an expected behavior for Business Central SaaS and we would like to create this functionality in future.
When you render a RDLC report to pdf, everything takes place on the node running the NST and the font must be physically available on that machine.
The pdf preview you see in the web client is built on the NST node and sent to the client machine. Available fonts are embedded if enabled (should be by default).
If you create a Word document from the RDLC report by using the SendTo Word in the request page, you will get a standard Word document that you download to the client host and open in the native Word application. This app will use the fonts available on the customers machine and will display the correct characters assuming that they are available here.
