When Check Payment batches are done there is no lasting check image saved. This is needed for audit support specifically for checks that have not yet cleared the bank as proof that the check was cut. This is a common feature in other accounting systems and outside of audit support is utilized frequently in communication with vendors beyond just a remittance.
