We want to be able to enter 2 dates in the system: date to open registration on the Portal, and date to close registration on the portal.
After the close date, the Event would no longer be available on the Portal.

I agree with this request because depending on type of event, other tasks, like arranging final catering details, need to occur.

This is something we customized to our Event but we used our own CMS system. This is truly needed for portal implementations and maybe we would have resulted in using the ootb portal if this feature was already in place.
