In the new self-service LCS, one must now use just in time database access + firewall rules to get access to the SQL database. It is bad enough that the SQL credentials expire after 8 hours. There is no reason to add another layer of complexity by expiring the firewall rules and requiring that IP addresses be whitelisted every time.
