In Dynamics 365 Business Central, when entering a Sales Order, users can select an item on the sales line and use the lookup function (the drop-down arrow) to search for items based on their description. This lookup opens the standard Item List page.

Many of our customers have expressed the need for this lookup window to be larger or, ideally, dynamically resizable. The current fixed-size lookup makes it difficult for users to view longer item descriptions, additional columns, or a larger number of results without excessive scrolling. This negatively impacts usability, especially for businesses with extensive item catalogs.

Requested enhancement:

• Allow the lookup page for items (and ideally all lookup pages) to be resizable by the user.
• Alternatively, provide a way for administrators or users to configure the default size of lookup windows.
• Ensure the larger or resizable window works consistently across all clients (browser, desktop app, tablet).
• Maintain the standard lookup behavior but provide more flexibility in how much information can be displayed at once.
