AL already supports gzip, but does not support zlib. I am currently having problems with support of a specific protocol because it requires zlib data compression. The GZipStream Dotnet used by Al is in the same namespace as ZlibStream Dotnet, so there should be no security issues preventing the implementation of zlib.
