The Catch-all Privs for Activities needs to go. Far too often we get hassled and harassed by our clients when we tell them we can't restrict users from seeing Faxes (are those things still around?) and Letters (Ibid?) vs. Phone Calls and Tasks. In fact, this has resulted in some clients creating their own "Activity" entity and scrapping the Social Pan all together (since there's no easy way to hide Activities)
