A single company can often be registered for VAT in multiple countries, especially where they have a high level of trade overseas.

Those VAT returns would need to be prepared in the currency of the country where the return is being prepared for but all VAT functionality is focused around the base currency of the customer.

It would be great if the VAT functionality allowed for multiple VAT registrations in line with this without the need to create a separate Business Central company.

I

in general it would be good to handle multiple VAT Reg ID per Business Central company.

This becomes very urgent. A belgian customer may have a VAT registration no in another country. Now BC applies a check based on the country/region code on the customer/vendor card and you have to enter a VAT Registration No or an Enterprise No (for belgian customer/vendor). To "solve" this, we have to create additional virtual country codes like BE (LU), BE (NL), etc...
If a belgian customer with country code "BE", we can only entry the enterprise no. field with a BE no. but if the customer has a VAT registration in the Netherlands or Luxembourg or France, impossible to enter a VAT registration no. This is a very big limitation and requires an urgent solution.

This will be highly needed as a lot of companies may have inventory in different countries. Therefore they have multiple VAT registrations.

Please be aware of that the setup of Intrastat should be work with it too.
