I have a couple of wishes for printing reports from BC to excel.
When i print a report to excel, it's because i want to work with the data, not just look at it. Otherwise i would have printed to pdf, word etc. But the reports has the following issues.

Numbers should be numbers, right now they are text.
Remove all merged cells, they just make it harder to navigate and mark coloumns/rows, and they take forever to remove.
Remove the empty narrow coloumns and rows, that are there to make it visually pretty, but makes it harder to copy calculations with references.

Comming from XAL to BC, we were a bit sad to see that we still need to clean up the excel reports quite alot, before it's possible to work with them. I generally avoid using reports due to this, but my colleagues use them all the time.

From our experience, customers are disappointed with the print to Excel option on reports. You cannot do anything with the data without cleaning up the reports. Being a Microsoft product, one should be able to print any report to Excel without having to clean up the formatting, merged cells, etc.

It looks like the new release lets users do this with account schedules but not other reports. We need to be able to just do a data dump into excel with no formatting.
