Detailed guide how CRM resolves e-mail sender to From a resolving logic.
Is this some Table or how is it resolving sender and from field in entitys.
And a re-resolve From button for closed e-mail activity.
I have received e-mail that sender is resolved to totaly different contact.
I see activitys that sender some@company.com CRM has resolved From to a Contact person contact.another@notevenclose.no
It is closed there is no options.

Hi, Thanks for the feedback. Email resolving logic in CRM today does a simple matching of Email adresses present within the entity records with the sender (and to, cc etc) of the email. If it finds the Email address in any of the Email fields on the record it will resolve it to that record else it will create a new contact/lead (depending on user settings). I haven't been able to repro it but would like to take a look at this to see what is going wrong. We won't be able to get it done in this forum since it will need access to environments and other things. Hence, will request you to contact CRM support for this so that they are able to do an investigation on what is going wrong in the system. I will also forward it to the internal team to take a look.
