For various campaigns, we would need to influence the segment size based on a percentage or set number at random. According to the Microsoft support team, this requirement cannot be met with current functionality nor a workaround.
For example: Based on our segment criteria, we have 2000 customers in our CI segment. However, we would only need to target half of the dynamic segment in our real-time journey by sending an e-mail and the other half nothing as a control group.
A/B testing currently only supports control groups by sending a message to both groups.
