Hi Microsoft,

Thanks for the Form-based Double Opt-in! It does alleviate some nuisances with complying to GDPR.

However, some scenarios are still not obtainable through OOB functionality without customizing the system.

Here i'm mostly thinking about managing Double Opt-in on forms that has other purposes than signing contacts up for marketing, but still has a "yes, sign me up for marketing related content" check-mark to a subscription list.

An example:
We have a form where the customer signs up for have our most recent catalog sent to them. In the form itself there is a check mark for marketing opt-in. If we enable opt-in on the form, then all submissions will get the opt-in, even if they haven't asked for it. If we don't, then we don't get consent unless we custom build it through workflows and Customer Journeys. My idea is to be able to set double opt-in emails on Subscription lists themselves to make sure that every time we try to add a contact to a list, the contact receives the double opt-in email by trying to subscribe to the list, not because they submitted through a form.

Thank you in advance.

Kind regards,
