I know a similar kind of need had been submitted before (See link below) and you have released a "Preview" function as a response to this request.

As I understand from the documentation and the videos, this preview version can only be installed in Sandbox environments. As in our case we need this version to be installed in Production Environments.

The reason behind our request is that we have several customers who are using our app from Marketplace. We have a weekly release for our app. Our need is that, one stable version and one Beta version is available for the customers when they want to perform an update on our apps.

By doing this way, a selected customer runs their environment for a while with Beta version. And when then stability test period period ends with all the found issues resolved, then we make the beta version as the stable version.

Advantages of having a limited release

• You can reduce the risk of rolling out a flawed or unpopular feature to your entire user base.
• Inviting users to test a beta fosters a sense of collaboration and transparency. Users feel more invested in the marketplace when they know their feedback can influence betterment of the product.
• Early access to a new feature or product can create anticipation and excitement for the customers.
• Helps to identify technical issues, compatibility problems, or unexpected user behaviors that might not be caught in internal testing.
