If you cancel an appointment, created in CRM or Outlook, the status of the appointments in Dynamics or in Outlook should be updated to "canceled". This will save time for all of the customers who are using Dynamics and Server-Side Synchronization.

To be clear, the issue here is not with Outlook. Appointments canceled in Dynamics do not send a "cancel" notification, nor is it marked as canceled in any way. It's also not removed from the calendar. However, if the appointment is created in CRM and cancelled in Outlook, it works as expected. Another workaround is to use the 'delete' option in CRM, then it will behave as expected.
