I can't believe this one was not upvoted to the moon. Usually in a D365 F&O project are 2 or 3 senior members that understand that this step is required. With the Dual write in play that uses the labels of the data entity for selection such process needs to be run even more often in order to have those changes reflected on the data entities.

We are also facing a low performance issue when running item tracing for items that have many transactions. A ticket was opened with Microsoft and the workaround is to run an entity list refresh before running the trace.
End users are not allowed to start the refresh, so being able to schedule a batch job to run the process every night would be the best way to address the issue.
