Hi,

I've looked around on here and have not found a similar idea so I'm going to throw mine out there. In AX2012 I used the security development tool to set up authorizations for customers. Using this tool I was also able to start a test session and test the authorizations for myself before having customers test. This would be helpful in getting rid of any initial errors (no access to certain tables/fields).

In D365fO I'm simply missing the possibility to test customized security roles/duties/privileges. At this point I'm having to constantly ask the customer to test it with their accounts, change things, test again, rinse and repeat.

I'm aware there are blogs about starting a testing session from a Visual Studio environment or the possibility to create a second account and use that for testing but why not allow me to select a security role, click "test" and open a session with just that security role assigned?

I don't know about you guys but this would make my life a lot easier.

What also could be an improvement for the known security development tool, next to bringing it to D365FO: make it possible to load multiple security roles (and open a test environment with those roles active) instead of one at a time.
