Currently, the breaking change check does not appear to be enforced for report objects. This includes potentially breaking changes to report datasets and request page controls. It is also unclear whether changes such as renaming protected variables are covered; if not, these should be included as well.

Breaking change detection is a critical safeguard for app compatibility and upgrade safety. In practice, it should apply consistently across all exposed symbols of an app, including report objects, to prevent unintended regressions for dependent extensions.
