When a workspace with multiple views is created and distributed to several users via Personalization → Personal Views, the resulting start pages are now being created with different technical names for each user since one of the recent product updates.

This leads to a major issue: when the creator later modifies the workspace and redistributes it to the same group of users, the system can no longer match the previously distributed versions because the technical names differ. As a result, the dialog for Replace / Rename / Skip does not appear. Instead, the affected users receive a duplicate workspace, resulting in multiple copies of the same workspace in their dashboards.

Additionally, when an administrator deletes the “old” workspace from the Personalization form, it continues to appear on the user’s dashboard. However, clicking on it only opens an empty default view instead of the expected customized one.

Overall, this behavior makes managing and maintaining distributed workspaces very difficult. Users are left with “dead workspaces” that can only be removed manually via Right-click → Personalize → Remove. In organizations with more than 10 users, this manual cleanup is not a practical solution.

Expected Behavior:

• Distributed workspaces should retain the same technical name across all users to allow proper matching and update handling.
• Deleting a workspace via the Personalization form should remove it completely from all users’ dashboards.

Business Impact:

• Admins cannot maintain or update distributed workspaces efficiently.
• Users end up with multiple or broken workspaces, causing confusion and inconsistent UI experiences.
• Manual cleanup is not scalable in larger organizations.

Suggested Improvement:

Ensure that distributed workspaces preserve consistent technical names across all assigned users, and restore proper functionality of workspace deletion from the Personalization form, so that old versions can be cleanly replaced by updated ones.
