Assume these settings:

Production control parameters > Automatic update > Automatic route consumption > Route group dependent or Always.

Production order > Production order> Start > General > Post route card now = Yes

Master planning > Setup > Coverage > Coverage groups > Fast tab Other > Requested production status = Started

When firming a planned order, route card is not posted. Similar settings for picking list result in a posted picking list.

Through Microsoft ticket TrackingID#2310040050004019 I have learned that for route to be posted you need to confirm a production order Start - if this is the case, what is then the meaning of the production control parameter "Automatic route consumption" as nothing is executed automatically (at least for value Started)?

It would be very nice if route could behave as picking list does in this case.
