Current Behavior:

The SMS Submission table is part of an internal implementation and was not originally intended for customer use. As a result, the submitted SMS message content is not populated or viewable within Dataverse tables.

 

Currently, customers are only able to review SMS message details through the Customer Insights Journeys (CIJ) delivery and interaction details experience.

 

Requested Improvement:

Provide a supported and customer-accessible separate Dataverse table or entity that stores SMS submission details, or alternatively populate the existing SMS Submission table from Customer Insights Journeys (CIJ), including the SMS text/message content and related metadata.

 

Business Impact:

Having SMS submission data available within Dataverse tables would significantly improve visibility, reporting, auditing, and troubleshooting capabilities for customers using the CIJ SMS channel. This would allow organizations to:

  • Review submitted SMS content directly within Dataverse
  • Create Power BI reports and dashboards for SMS activity
  • Improve accessibility for support and business users through standard table views
  • Reduce dependency on navigating through CIJ delivery and interaction detail records individually

 

Expected Outcome:

Customers would like the ability to securely and natively view SMS submission content and related records through a supported Dataverse table experience, while still maintaining the existing CIJ delivery and interaction details functionality.
