Some of our customers requires more than 50 characters for their customers/vendors/banks names and addresses…
I think 50 characters is a bit limited for "legal" company names, so i would prefer a limit of 80 or 100 characters (just to be on the safe side).
This is mainly an issue when the named is fetched from an external system (like http://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/vies/) and not when entered manually (because when you enter it manually you can always short something).
It is simply a bit hard to build in text shortening logic that covers everything :-)
Even if the different customer/vendors document is not able to print the full name, the customers still prefers the "correct legal" company name in NAV.
Sorry if this has already been suggested before - i tried to search for it but was not able to find any suggestions regarding this...
